Hunter Lapeyre

Hunter Lapeyre is the founder and owner of Lapeyre Roofing, continuing a family tradition of entrepreneurship and service that spans over three centuries in Louisiana. His ancestors include the Villeré family, who arrived with Iberville's first French expedition to the Mississippi in 1699, and the Lapeyre family, established in New Orleans since 1840—whose members would go on to hold 191 patents and revolutionize the Gulf Coast seafood and manufacturing industries.

Hunter founded Lapeyre Roofing in 2021 after Hurricane Ida, watching out-of-state "storm chasers" flood into Louisiana, collect deposits from desperate homeowners, and disappear. He started the company to give Gulf Coast residents a local alternative—a roofer whose family has been in Louisiana for over 300 years and isn't going anywhere.

Hunter holds both commercial and residential contractor licenses in Louisiana and leads a team of skilled roofing professionals dedicated to quality craftsmanship and customer service. As a GAF Certified Contractor and FORTIFIED Roofing specialist, he brings manufacturer-backed expertise to every project. Based in Austin with operations in Houston and New Orleans, he remains committed to protecting the communities that raised his family.
